Lovely fully dated example of this early Bolivia cob recovered from the Capitana shipwreck. The Capitana was a Spanish flagship sailing from Peru to Panama. She was the largest galleon built for King Philip IV and sunk in 1654 after striking a reef near Chanduy Equador due to navigational error. This wreck was recovered in 1996. Incredible example of this early cob and important piece of history. Interestingly, this example was minted the same date as the wreck so it would have been freshly minted. The pictured COA is included with this coin.
