This seldom seen January 2, 1775 Connecticut issue only printed 15,000 pounds in non-interest bearing treasury notes. Printed on thin paper by Timothy Green. The State Arms with a hand pointing left can be seen on the front along with detailed borders. The reverse features a type-set design with a detailed inner border. The 40 Shilling bill was the highest denomination of the issue. Very scarce, especially in un-cancelled condition such as this note. This is the first bill from this issue that we have offered. Only 13 survivors are known today.
