Connecticut Colonial Note Fr#CT-187 June 1, 1775 40s PMG AU-55 *Uncanceled*

$425.00

This 40 Shilling note features a mostly typeset design with elaborate borders. A bold state emblem and red signatures remain. Interestingly, the colony of Connecticut prohibited the circulation of money from other colonies with few exceptions until June 1776. This note fell into the time range of prohibition of other currencies. Lovely AU example with original paper and bold ink. Additionally, this example is un-canceled which i much tougher than canceled notes.

Signers: Jesse Root, Jabez Hamlin, Elisha Williams
