The June 7, 1776 issue marked the point where the prohibition of notes from other colonies in Connecticut was repealed. Lower denomination notes such as this one only required one signature where higher denominations required two. Printed by Timothy Green with an ornate design on the reverse with angels in the border corners. Striking uncirculated example with light paper and very bold ink. Exceptional embossing throughout on this 1776 note.
