Connecticut Colonial Note Fr#CT-214 October 11, 1777 2d PCGS CU-64 PPQ *Exceptional*

$485.00

This small change Connecticut note bears the state seal and was printed on a blue paper by Timothy Green with a blank back. Detailed ornamental borders surround the note. Interestingly, the British stole 160 double printed sheets of these notes from Samuel Bishop in New Haven. This 2 Pence bill was the lowest denomination of the issue. Absolutely gorgeous example with subtle blue paper, bold ink, and bright red signatures. Well deserving of the PPQ designation from PCGS.
