Connecticut Colonial Note Fr#CT-214 October 11, 1777 2d PCGS GEM 65 PPQ *Top Pop*

$695.00

This small change Connecticut note bears the state seal and was printed on a blue paper by Timothy Green with a blank back. Detailed ornamental borders surround the note. Interestingly, the British stole 160 double printed sheets of these notes from Samuel Bishop in New Haven. This 2 Pence bill was the lowest denomination of the issue. Absolutely gorgeous GEM example with subtle blue paper and bold ink. Well deserving of the PPQ designation from PCGS. This GEM 65 PPQ holds the top spot in the population reports with 1 other tied at PMG.
