Connecticut Colonial Note Fr#CT-236 July 1, 1780 2s6d PMG CU-64 EPQ *Exceptional*

$345.00

The July 1, 1780 Connecticut issue was payable in Spanish milled silver dollars by March 1, 1785 with 5% interest. Upon redemption these notes were hole or slash canceled. The front has elaborate borders with what appears to be a cornucopia design at the top and a small state seal with a hand pointing to the left. Printed by Timothy Green II on thin light paper. The reverse features neat angels in the corners of the internal border. Exceptional example with crisp light paper and rich ink, well deserving of the elusive EPQ designation from PMG.
