Sold Out

The May 10, 1775 issue was the first Continental series of colonial currency. The front of this $30 note has an emblem featuring a wreath on a tomb. The Latin motto “SI RECT FACIES” (If you act righteously you will be honored after death) encircles the emblem. The reverse of this $30 note has 2 additional emblems, a strong wind creating waves encircled by the Latin motto “VI CONCITATE” (Driven by force) and the sun shining on sailing ships in a calm sea encircled by the Latin motto “CESSANTE VENTO CONQUISCEMUS” (When the storm dies down we will rest). Incredibly well done contemporary counterfeit that was likely produced by the British to tank the new economy of the United States. Very rare note with only 6 graded by PMG.
