The front of this $2 note from the February 17, 1776 issue features an emblem of grain being threshed by a flail, encircled by the latin motto “TRIBULATIO DITAT” (affliction improves it). The reverse contains nature print of raspberry and two filbert leaves. Printed by Hall and Sellers on paper containing mica flake and blue thread. Very nice detail on this example, corner missing.
