Continental Currency Fr#CC-49 November 2, 1776 $4 PCGS 64 *Exceptional*
The November 2, 1776 issue was interestingly proposed to print fractional denominations but this never happened due to the fugio notes providing adequate supply. This $4 note features an emblem of a boar charging a spear. This emblem is encircled by the latin motto “AUT MORS AUT VITA DECORA” (Either death or an honorable life). The reverse features nature print of skeletonized maple fruit. Exceptional example with stellar paper, ink, and signatures.
Signers: James Walker, Horatio Johnson
