Continental Currency Fr#CC-52 November 2, 1776 $7 PMG 15
The November 2, 1776 issue was interestingly proposed to print fractional denominations but this never happened due to the fugio notes providing adequate supply. This $7 note features an emblem of a severe storm at sea. This emblem is encircled by the latin motto “SERENABIT” (It will be calm). The reverse features nature print of buttercup leaf. Incredibly nice for the grade. Previously a part of the extensive Dr. O’Shaughnessy Continental Collection.
Signers: Samuel Stringer Coale, Rinaldo Johnson
