The September 26, 1778 issue featured new $50 and $60 denominations. It also marks high inflation in colonial times due to $75,000,000 in bills authorized and the release of these higher denominations. This $30 note features an emblem of a wreath on a tomb. This emblem is encircled by the latin motto “SI RECTE FACIES” (If you act righteously you will be honored after death). The reverse features nature print of 3 willow leaves.
