The iconic May 10, 1775 $20 notes were individually printed on paper imported by Benjamin Franklin. The left edge of these notes show a colorful polychroming as a result of the marbling process. The back of the $20 note features emblems rather than the nature prints seen in the majority of the other notes in this issue. Although this note is tattered, a small piece of the colorful marbling can still be seen on the left side.
