This $40 note is water marked “CONFEDERATION” in 2 lines and new boarder cuts for this issue say “UNITED STATES OF NORTH AMERICA”. This note features an emblem of an all-seeing Eye of Providence shining on 13 stars representing the colonies surrounded by the motto “CONFEDERATION”. This emblem was designed by Francis Hopkinson, an American founding father and signer of the Declaration of Independence. The reverse has nature print of poterium leaves.Beautiful problem free note with crisp paper and bold ink.
