Delaware Colonial Note Fr#DE-29 February 28, 1746 1s PMG VG-10 *Finest Known Franklin*

$735.00

This extremely early 1746 Delaware note served the purpose of funding the loan office. This 15 Shilling bill is much scarcer than the 20 Shilling DE-30. The front of this note features the English Arms and borders cut by Thomas Leech. Interestingly, where Delaware notes from 1753 and later say “Printed By B. Franklin and Hall”, these 1746 notes have feature Franklin’s name alone “Printed By B. Franklin” (usually printed on the back). For its age, this example is very whole and nice legibility and date remain on the front. Incredibly scarce with only 6 examples known. This VG-10 example is the finest known, TOP POP.
