This 18 Pence bill from the June 1, 1759 Delaware issue was printed by Benjamin Franklin with a blank back. The purpose of this issue was to replace the entire 1746 issue and for loans. The state arms were sideways on the 6 lowest denominations, such as this note. Of the 8,000 originally printed, only 5 are known to exist today. This note is the finest known survivor grading 25 with incredibly clean paper and bold ink. All other survivors grade in the single digits. Additionally, this note was a part of the revered Ford Collection. An asset for any high caliber collection.
