Comments: “Severed & Reattached, Repaired”
This early Delaware colonial note was printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall. The English Arms and a typeset design can be seen on the front. The four lowest denominations, including this 18 Pence bill, were printed with a blank back. Low denominations of this issue are unlisted in the Newman catalogue and had incredibly low survivability likely due to heavy circulation. That is evident by this PMG 8 example holding the top spot in the PMG population report, finest known PMG. Affordable and scarce Franklin note with 7 total examples known to exist.
