The front of this 1776 Delaware note features the English Arms and a typeset design with very intricate borders that have the denomination embedded within. The reverse features a large sheaf of wheat along with “To Counterfeit is Death” and ornamental borders. This bill was printed on thick paper containing blue thread and mica flake by James Adams who used to work for Benjamin Franklin. Gorgeous AU example with crisp paper, attractive color and lovely rich ink. Well deserving of the gold sticker from GCC.
