The June 8, 1777 Georgia issue was the first Georgia note to be payable in Continental Currency rather than Spanish milled dollars. The purpose of this issue was to support Continental troops. This $8 bill was printed in red and black ink with the seal of 13 links, similar to the Fugio notes. Scarce and very desirable note with only 10 known to exist. Neat low serial number 10.
