Georgia Colonial Note Fr#GA-63 1776 1s PCGS 12 *Edward Telfair Signature*

The 1776 Sterling denominations Georgia issue was represented by 8 different denominations with varying sizes. This smaller 1 Shilling bill was the third lowest denomination and features a typeset design, ornamental borders, and a vignette of the denomination at the lower right. It was common for notes from this issue to be un-numbered. Additionally, this note bears the signature of Edward Telfair. Telfair was an American founding father, Governor of Georgia, member of the Continental Congress, and a signer of the Articles of Confederation. Affordable example with an awesome signature.
