This 1776 Georgia note features ornamental borders plus a red and black typeset design. There is a light blue seal of Justice encircled by the latin motto “SUSTINE RECTUM” (Support what is right). This seal was applied by a separate overprinting during the manufacture of these notes. Solid VF example with particularly rich ink on the seal. Additionally, this note boasts the signature of Edward Telfair. Telfair was an American founding father, Governor of Georgia, member of the Continental Congress, and a signer of the Articles of Confederation.
