Georgia Colonial Note Fr#GA-71c 1776 $1 PMG 25 *Orange Justice*
This 1776 Georgia note features ornamental borders plus a red and black typeset design. There is an incredibly bold orange seal of Justice encircled by the latin motto “SUSTINE RECTUM” (Support what is right). This seal was applied by a separate overprinting during the manufacture of these notes. The orange seal is a scarcer variety compared to the light blue variant. Stunning note with exceptional eye appeal for the grade. Low serial number of 51, obviously an early print with how bold this note is.
Signers: Benjamin Andrew, Samuel Saltus, William Evans, William Ewen, William O’Bryen
