Georgia Colonial Note Fr#GA-71e 1776 $1 PCGS 15 *Blue-Green Justice*

This 1776 Georgia note features ornamental borders plus a red and black typeset design. There is a blue-green seal of Justice encircled by the latin motto “SUSTINE RECTUM” (Support what is right). This seal was applied by a separate overprinting during the manufacture of these notes. This blue-green variety is the scarcest of the 1776 $1 bills and interestingly has a totally different orientation compared to the blue and orange varieties which are larger in size and have different borders. Very scarce variety with only 12 examples known to exist. Additionally, this note was a part of the iconic Eric P. Newman Collection.
