This note features ornamental boarders plus red and black typeset. There is a light blue seal of the liberty cap encircled by the latin motto “LIBERTAS CARIOR AURO” (Freedom is more precious than gold). This seal was applied by a separate overprinting during the manufacture of these notes. Additionally, this note boasts the signature of Edward Telfair. Telfair was an American founding father, Governor of Georgia, member of the Continental Congress, and a signer of the Articles of Confederation. Gorgeous example with bright paper and a strong seal. This note was a part of the prestigious Eric Newman Collection.
