This 1777 Georgia note was printed with a red and black typeset design with ornamental borders. Every denomination has a blue-green seal of varying designs. This $15 bill features a rich deal of a mill stone on a palm tree encircled by the latin motto “OPPRESSA SURGIT” (After being crushed it rises). This seal was applied by a separate overprinting during the manufacture of these notes. High eye appeal example with large margins and an insanely bold seal. Very scarce with only 12 examples known to exist. This note was a part of the prestigious Eric Newman Collection.
