The December 7, 1775 Maryland issue was passed for the purposes of replacing the July 26, 1775 issue and funding the military. This note was printed by Frederick Green using engraved copper plates for the intricately detailed borders. The emblem on the reverse is encircled by the latin motto “SUB CLYPEO” (under divine protection). Signed by 2 different Irvines. Very nice problem free note. Lovely problem free VF example with attractively colored paper well deserving of the Evergreen sticker from GCC.
