Sold Out

This bill is known as a “codfish” note because of the codfish present at the top center of the face. The pillared face of this note was engraved and printed by Paul Revere and the pine tree reverse was printed by Thomas Fleet in Boston. Paul Revere also re-dated the face to 1778, reusing the copper plates from the original October 16, 1776 issue. Beautiful whole example for the grade with an oversized bottom margin.
