This later issue Massachusetts note was redeemable in Spanish milled dollars by December 31, 1786 with 5% interest. The exchange rate for these bills was $40 in older Continental Currency for every $1. Printed on “UNITED STATES” watermarked paper in red and black ink by Hall and Sellers with a similar style to Continental Currency, especially the emblems on the reverse. Lovely near uncirculated example of this desirable $1 denomination with crisp light paper and rich ink.
Signers: Samuel Henshaw, Ebenezer Wales, Joseph Henderson (Guaranty)
