Date: June 28, 1776
Denomination: 15 Pence
Friedberg #: NH-166
State: New Hampshire
Certification: PMG
Grade: Very Good 10
Comments: “Large Tear”
This incredibly scarce 1776 New Hampshire note features a simple type-set design with ornamental borders. Small in size with a blank reverse. These notes faced very low survivability due to their low denominations and small size, they likely faced heavy circulation. Of the 6,000 15 Pence notes originally printed, only 5 are known to exist today. Nice eye appeal for the grade with strong legibility. A nice addition for any elite collection, a big hurdle for anyone trying a complete a 1776 13 Colony set that does not come up for sale often.
