$975.00

This New Hampshire note was printed in red and black ink by Hall and Sellers. The border cuts and emblems of this note were engraved by Henry Dawkins, who was a former counterfeiter for the Tories. The paper bears a watermark “CONFEDERATION” in 2 lines. The guarantee signature on this note is John Taylor Gilman. Lovely problem free choice AU example of this sought after issue, with bold ink, light paper and vivid signatures. Very scarce with only 2,900 originally printed and 38 known to survive today. Interestingly, this note bears the additional signature of J. Hull above the interest box which is recognized by Newman as possibly for control purposes.

Signers: Joseph Pearson, James McClure, Ephraim Robinson, J. Hull, John Taylor Gilman (Guarantee Signature)
