The paper bears a watermark “CONFEDERATION” in 2 lines. The guarantee signature on this note is John Taylor Gilman. Very scarce, of 2,900 originally printed only 8 uncanceled specimens are known to survive today. These notes are almost always seen with a hole cancel.
