The May 1, 1758 New Jersey issue was the 8th War Issue, with the purpose of funding French and Indian War efforts. This note was printed by James Parker in Woodbridge New Jersey with red and black ink and a sage leaf nature print on the reverse. Interestingly, this example has been contemporaneously pinned together, an effort by the colonists to expand the life of this note.
