The April 12, 1757 New Jersey issue was the 5th War issue of bills meant to fund the military effort in the French and Indian War. A grand coat of arms can be seen on the front along with 2 full faced suns. This 6 Pound note was the only denomination from this issue with the front printed in red and black ink and the reverse printed in green. Only 500 of these 6 Pound notes were printed, with only 11 known to exist today.
