The April 12, 1760 New Jersey issue was the 11th War Issue of bills used to fund military action against the French in the French and Indian War. At the time, they were worth their weight equivalent in silver. This note was printed by James Parker with red and black ink. Only 1,875 6 Pound notes were printed and 28 are known to exist today. This is the highest denomination of the issue with an elaborate state arms seal. Two sun faces can be seen within the red text. Neat and seldom seen note for the price.
