This note was printed by James Parker of Woodbridge in red and black ink on thick paper that contained mica flakes. This was the first New Jersey issue that used mica flakes in the paper as an anti-counterfeiting measure. The front features the state arms along with 6 crowns representing the denomination (5 Shillings per crown). Nature print of a sage leaf can be seen on the reverse along with “Tis Death to counterfeit”. Of the 2,000 30 shilling bills originally printed, only 30 are known to exist today. Lovely problem free note from the Midnight Ride Collection, known for high eye appeal notes.
