$835.00

This note from the December 31, 1763 New Jersey issue was printed by James Parker on paper that contained mica flakes and blue thread. This was the first New Jersey issue that implimented mica flakes in the paper as an anti-counterfeiting measure. This 6 Pound bill was the highest denomination of the series and features a large State Arms and printing in exceptionally bright red and blue ink. There are also neat emblems such as 2 sun faces and blue lions. Nature print of a sage leaf can be seen on the reverse along with “To Counterfeit is Death”. Stunning and rare note with low survivability, only 500 originally printed and 18 known to survive today.

Signers: Richard Smith, Jonathan Johnston, Joseph Smith
