The April 16, 1764 New Jersey issue was the second series of New Jersey notes issued after the French and Indian War. (Previous issues were used to fund the war effort). These notes were worth their weight equivalent in silver. Printed by James Parker of Woodbridge in bold red and blue ink. Emblems of suns and lions and the state arms can be seen on the front. The reverse features nature print and ornamental borders. Very scarce note with only 917 originally printed and 22 known to survive today.
