New Jersey Colonial Note Fr#NJ-169 April 16, 1764 6P PMG 30 *Red & Blue*

The April 16, 1764 New Jersey issue was the second series of New Jersey notes issued after the French and Indian War. (Previous issues were used to fund the war effort). These notes were worth their weight equivalent in silver. Printed by James Parker in beautiful red and blue ink. An emblem with 2 suns and the large state arms in red can be seen on the front with nature print on the reverse. “To Counterfeit is DEATH” can be seen on the right of the reverse. Incredibly scarce with only 917 originally printed and 22 known to survive today. Lovely note worthy of any high tier collection.
