This bill would normally be relatively common but this example was signed by John Hart, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. This bill was printed on mica flake paper in red and black ink by Isaac Collins in Burlington, NJ. Bold nature print can be seen on the reverse. The front of this note has ornate borders and the coat of arms with paper watermarked “NEW JERSEY”. Solid VF example with a strong Hart signature. A must have note for any colonial collection.
Signers: Jonathan Johnston, JOHN HART*, John Stevens Jr.
