This scarce 1786 issue New Jersey note maintained legal tender status until June 1799. This bill was printed by Isaac Collins with a red and black face on paper watermarked “NEW JERSEY”. Interesting late issue note, seldom seen. Of the 40,000 3 Shilling bills originally printed, only 37 are known to survive today. Newman lists this note for $1750 in the 5th edition.
