This August 2, 1775 New York issue is known as the second Water Works issue. Similar in form to the 1774 issue, printed on course paper with red and black ink. Only 2500 Pounds worth of these notes were issued by New York City, with 5,000 2 Shilling notes printed. Neat issue with water utilities on the reverse and a typeset face. Crisp uncirculated example with bold ink remaining.
