This New York note was printed by Samuel Loudon on thick paper. This issue contains emblems on the reverse, with fractional denominations, such as this note, having smaller emblems. This low denomination $1/6 bill emblem of a stork encircled by the Latin motto “NE IMPROVISO” (Not unexpectedly) . Lovely VF+ example of this desirable 1776 note with original paper color and bold ink, particularly on the reverse. Well deserving of the evergreen sticker from GCC.
Signers: Jacob K. Duryee, John H. Thompson
