This New York note from the March 1776 issue was printed by Samuel Loudon on thick paper. This issue contains large emblems on the reverse, with fractional denominations having smaller emblems, with the exception of this $1/2 that has large emblem. This $1/2 bill has a gorgeous emblem of a hand planting a tree encircled by the Latin motto “POSTERITATE” (For Posterity). Lovely problem free VF example with original paper color, bold ink, and nice signatures.
