This April 23, 1761 4 Shilling note was printed by James Davis. Although higher denomination notes from this series such as the 20s & 30s are relatively common, lower denominations such as this 4 Shilling bill were heavily circulated and are now incredibly scarce. Of the 2,720 originally printed, only 7 examples are known to exist today. Additionally, this PCGS 12 is the finest known example, tied for top pop with one other in an equal grade. Fantastic value for the rarity and condition.
