The 1768 North Carolina issue was printed on thin paper by James Davis. This issue featured a type set and ornamental border design. Only 20,000 Pounds worth of bills were printed in this series. “Death to Counterfeit” can be seen along all 3 edges. This 2 Shilling, 6 Pence note was the lowest denomination of this seldom seen series with around 35 survivors existing today. Lovely grade.
