The 1768 North Carolina issue was printed on thin paper by James Davis. This issue featured a type set and ornamental border design. Only 20,000 Pounds worth of bills were printed in this series. “Death to Counterfeit” can be seen along all 3 edges. This 3 Pound note was the second highest denomination of this seldom seen series. Exceptional XF condition with clean light paper and rich ink. Tough to find this nice.
