This 2 Pound note from the December 1771 issue is larger in size than the smaller denominations. The bottom left features a neat vignette of a dove with an olive branch. The Latin motto “PAX REDDITA MAY 1771” (Peace Restored) can be seen beneath the dove. Only 5,000 were originally printed. Nice eye appeal with bold ink and light paper.
