This $25 note from the May 10, 1780 North Carolina issue was printed on thin paper by James Davis. This bill features ornate boarders and a printed back. The latin motto on the lower left reads “HORA PACIS & LIBERTATIS APPROPINQUAT” (The time for liberty and peace is approaching). This note was a part of the iconic Eric P. Newman Collection.
