This extremely rare North Carolina note was printed by Thomas Davis at Halifax using engraved boarder and vignette cuts. The front of this 20 Shilling bill features bold borders and a vignette of Justice with the motto “DO AS YOU WOULD BE DONE BY”. Interestingly, the bottom border states “COUNTERFEITERS BEWARE”. Incredibly scarce note, of the 20,000 originally printed, only 4 are known to survive today. All known examples except for this one are graded as contemporary counterfeits, making this the only known authentic example. An opportunity to own a true rarity.
