This early 1748 North Carolina note features a relatively minimalistic design besides the unicorn emblem on the lower left. Notes from this issue were printed from engraved copper plates and held the purpose of funding fortifications for the colony and reducing public debts. Only 2,000 of these early 20 Shilling notes were originally printed. Neat early note in nice condition for the price with full date.
